Today, the branch has 5 full-time teaching staff. There are currently 17 full-time and part-time faculty members. Of these, 2 are in the main state at a rate of 0.75, 4 are in-house and 11 are out-of-state. The scientific potential is 66.6%. Part-time teachers are qualified teachers of KSU and NukusDPI.
The total number of scientific works in the branch is 161, including 14 foreign articles, 28 republican articles, 19 foreign theses, 89 republican theses, 6 computer certificates, 2 monographs.
In the 2019-2020 academic year, the number of scientific papers is 36, including 1 monograph, 11 articles (including 6 foreign), 20 theses (including 13 international theses), 2 computerized DGU, Scopus-based indexed materials. published 2 articles in database publications.
The branch has developed an action plan for 2020 to increase scientific and publishing activity. According to him, by the end of 2020, each professor should have 1 foreign article, 1 article in national journals, 3 theses. In addition, the branch plans to issue 2 monographs and 2 computer certificates in co-authorship. It is planned to revise the action plan to increase the scientific capacity for 2020-2023, taking into account the admission of professors and teachers in the main staff of the branch from the 2020-2021 academic year.
The problems of regional enterprises are being formed in order to conduct research aimed at scientific and technical problems of the economy. In particular, an economic contract for 2020-2022 was signed with Karakalpak Cement LLC for the development of recommendations for domain granulated slag in the form of cement clinker. The branch agreement involves professors and talented students of the branch.
The branch has a circle “Problems of Production” and students conduct research with their supervisors (Ph.D. FI Khudoiberdiev, Ph.D. II Kalandarov, Ph.D. Dzhumamuratov, Ph.D. R. Kurbanbaev).
The most important priority areas of research in the branch are mining, chemical technology, automation and control, engineering technology, electricity, mining electromechanics, scientific problems and measures to address them. In order to strengthen the integration of science, education and industry in the branch, the Karakalpak branch of the Academy of Sciences organizes experimental classes in physics and chemistry. Negotiations are underway to open a branch of NavDKI NF at the Takhiatash metal construction plant.
Scientists of our branch jointly with the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the International Center for Biodiversity in Salinity (ICBA) organized a competition for innovative startup projects in saline areas of the Aral Sea region. startup project on “Innovative technologies against” was presented.
The research in these projects is being used in the classroom.
